Running Accomplishments:

I am running regularly for the first time since high school.  Any personal bests and accomplishments are in the distant past.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I am currently trying to build a good mileage base and achieve a level of fitness that will enable me to run every morning and not feel like I just got out of surgery the rest of the day.  I am approximately 20 pounds overweight, so weight loss because of and in support of the running is important as well.

I would like to complete a 10k in under 50 minutes, a 5k in under 24 mintues, and possibly run a half-marathon during the next two years.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Eventually, I would like to run a marathon spend time running races around the country.  My main goal, however, is to achieve and maintain a consistent and fun running lifestyle.

Ran 10 miles for the first time ever.  The last mile was really rough, as I expected, but I pushed through it.  9:21 pace for day, with which I am happy.

I don't know that I could do this this on a daily basis...yet.  I plan to drop back to my daily 8 for a while with a 10 thrown in occasionally.

Great job on the big 10 miler today. You are so ready for a half-marathon.
